Meet Miriam

Miriam Margolyes was born in Oxford, England in 1941 and educated at Newnham College, Cambridge. Miriam Margolyes is a veteran of stage and screen, an award-winning actress who achieved success on both sides of the Atlantic. Margolyes was Professor Sprout in two Harry Potter films and enjoys appearing as the feisty Mother Superior in the popular Call The Midwife series on the BBC.

Miriam has carved out a niche presenting thought-provoking documentaries and it was through her Dead Good Adventure, which aired on BBC2 in 2019, that she came into contact with Coffin Club. Miriam has planned her funeral with Coffin Club and even decorated her coffin. She is proud to be the patron of this pioneering organisation.
