Today is the first ever Funeral Celebrant Day, hosted by Coffin Club UK.

We’re so proud of funeral celebrants and the amazing job they do but also aware that as celebrants, we are a relatively new profession and, as such, not everyone knows exactly what we do.

So Funeral Celebrant Day is about letting the world know what we do, why we do it and just how you can get hold of a funeral celebrant at your time of need (or ahead of time if you fancy getting your ducks in a row before you go!).

We will have Funeral Celebrants from all over the world joining in our 12 noon thunderclap of posts and we can’t wait to see what they have to say!

Funeral celebrants are an amazing bunch of humans dedicating themselves to supporting others when they are at their lowest ebb. As a profession, we put our heart and soul into creating services that are completely person-centred and really reflect the person who has died in a meaningful way. We are aware of how important a step this is in the grieving process and don’t take our role lightly.

As funeral-celebrant trainers we really get a feel for the kind of people that are attracted to this role and are proud to have met so many amazing, dedicated, compassionate, empathetic and professional people making our profession as amazing as it is.

So, let’s hear it for the funeral celebrants – it’s their day!!
